Muir Woods and Sausalito Excursion

Combine the tranquil majesty of Muir Woods National Monument’s towering redwoods with picturesque Sausalito and its sweeping views of San Francisco Bay.

Cross over the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge and through the beautiful costal headlands for a visit to the Muir Woods National Monument, named for the 19th-century naturalist John Muir. This exquisite national monument features one of the very few remaining groves of virgin Costal Redwood Trees. Within this forest lie the tallest and oldest trees in existence, forming cathedral-like groves along a natural trail.

Next, it’s off to Sausalito, a Mediterranean-like village and home to a houseboat community. This area offers breathtaking views of San Francisco Bay and the San Francisco skyline. Once in Sausalito, you will have time for shopping, photos, or a bit of exploring along the waterfront.
